WirtschaftsWoche has once again published its list of the most prestigious law firms and lawyers specialising in IT law and data protection law. HÄRTING has once again been recognised this year as a leading law firm in both areas of law.

This renewed recognition confirms our particular strength in advising on digital business models, data protection, IT contracts, platforms, artificial intelligence and regulatory issues relating to data and technology.

Recommendations for Marlene Schreiber, Prof. Niko Härting and Sebastian Schulz

We are particularly pleased that, in addition to the firm itself, three HÄRTING lawyers have been specifically recommended by name:

Marlene Schreiber has once again been named a Top Lawyer 2026 in IT law. As a specialist in IT law, she advises companies on complex technology projects, artificial intelligence, IT compliance, platform regulation and contract drafting.

Prof. Niko Härting has once again been recognised as a top lawyer in data protection law. He has been a leading voice in the debate on data protection law in Germany for many years and advises companies on matters including the GDPR, data processing, fundamental rights in the digital sphere and state surveillance.

Sebastian Schulz is also recommended as a top lawyer in data protection law. He advises clients in particular on data protection, data compliance, digital regulation and the legal requirements for data-driven business models.

Background to the award

The ranking is published by WirtschaftsWoche. It is based on a survey conducted by the Handelsblatt Research Institute among 1,600 lawyers from 200 law firms. A jury then decides which law firms and lawyers are to be particularly recommended.

For HÄRTING, this renewed recognition as a top law firm is a wonderful affirmation of our ongoing work in providing legally sound, practical and solution-oriented answers to digital challenges.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all our colleagues who recommended us, as well as to our clients for their trust in our work.
