AI has long been used in many areas within companies: in HR, marketing, software development, customer service, legal, procurement and management. Whilst this often promises significant efficiency gains or better results, it is not uncommon for it to be accompanied by shadow AI, unclear tool approvals, data protection risks, copyright issues and uncertainty amongst employees. At the same time, legal regulation is becoming more concrete. The AI Regulation not only requires an assessment of legal risks but also mandates, depending on the risk class, documented decisions, robust processes, clear roles and AI expertise within the organisation.

What is this about?

In this webinar, we discuss how to transform the sporadic use of AI into a legally sound, scalable and practical AI governance framework, and we outline how companies can take a structured approach to their AI readiness. AI readiness means that companies know which AI tools and use cases they are using, what risks are associated with them, when to review what, who is responsible for which tasks, and what rules apply to employees. We will show which questions companies need to ask themselves in order to establish an in-house AI governance framework. We will also present our concept for a modular AI Readiness & Governance Programme.Participants will understand which legal and organisational building blocks are required for robust AI governance and how concrete decisions, processes and deliverables can be derived from them.
