Dr Dennis Jennessen studied law at the University of Cologne, specialising in media and communications law. He then completed his dissertation at the Rheinische-Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn under the supervision of Prof Dr Louisa Specht-Riemenschneider. During his doctoral studies, he worked as a research assistant in the “Technology, Media & Entertainment, Telecoms” practice group of the international commercial law firm Osborne Clarke in Cologne and Berlin.
He completed his legal clerkship at the Berlin Court of Appeal, including stations at the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media and at the law firms Raue Rechtsanwälte and Schertz Bergmann Rechtsanwälte, which specialise in press and media law. Dr Dennis Jennessen has been admitted to the bar since June 2023. He began his career at the law firm Irle Moser Rechtsanwälte, specialising in press and media law.
He joined the litigation team of HÄRTING Rechtsanwälte in February 2026. Dr Dennis Jennessen advises clients on all aspects of press and media law, communications and media law (including social media and influencer marketing), film and music law and competition law.
