HÄRTING as TOP LAW FIRM 2026 in sports law

WirtschaftsWoche recently published its ranking of the top law firms 2026 in sports law as well as the highly recommended lawyers. The ranking was compiled in cooperation with the Handelsblatt Research Institute (HRI).

HÄRTING Rechtsanwälte was once again recognised as a top law firm in the sports law category.

Dr Holger Jakob and Fabian Reinholz are also named as highly recommended lawyers in the overview “The most renowned lawyers for sports law”.

Dr Holger Jakob, LL.M.Eur. is Of Counsel at HÄRTING and a specialist lawyer for sports law. His areas of expertise include sports contract law (in particular sponsorship), sports labour law (in particular player contracts), club and association law, sports antitrust law (in particular licensing disputes) as well as gaming and gambling law (in particular compliance and regulation). He has been advising athletes, clubs and associations (including professional football) for almost 20 years, was General Counsel of a well-known e-sports organisation from 2018-2020 and is, among other things, a sports judge at the German Court of Arbitration for Sport and a licensed FIFA Football Agent since 2023.

Fabian Reinholz is a partner at HÄRTING and advises on sports law, among other things. His focus on sports law is reflected, among other things, as co-founder of the sports law podcast “Liebling Bosman”. He is also a member of the Sports Law Working Group of the German Bar Association and the German Association for Sports Law e. V. He also specialises in intellectual property law – in particular trademark, copyright and competition law.
