However, the question to be answered is not quite trivial - under what conditions may a person be portrayed?
The Munich Regional Court partially ruled in favour of Arne Schönbohm in the legal dispute against ZDF. Four out of five statements from a ZDF Magazin Royal programme were classified as inadmissible factual claims and their dissemination was prohibited. However, Schönbohm did not receive any monetary compensation.

In its judgement of 30 March 2023, the Higher Regional Court of Hamm ruled that there is a violation of the general (corporate) right of personality if a company uses images for advertising purposes on which an aircraft is depicted whose owner is clearly identifiable due to the recognisable aircraft registration number (possibly in conjunction with the colouring).
