During her law studies at the University of Zurich, Olivia Boccali already focussed on IT, IP and ICT law. She gained practical experience as a research assistant in a Zurich boutique law firm specialising in media, communications and entertainment law and as a legal advisor at a counselling centre for asylum seekers. Following her clerkship at a Zurich court and her traineeship at de la cruz beranek Attorneys-at-law Ltd., she joined HÄRTING Attorneys-at-law Ltd. in June 2021 – initially as a legal counsel and since December 2025 as an attorney-at-law.

At the same time, Olivia Boccali has been active in the municipal parliament of Schlieren since 2019, which she also chaired as president of parliament. She brings her enthusiasm for legal and planning matters to this role, including through her work on the commission for the revision of the building and zoning regulations.
